GenZ Girl Con 2020 is a virtual girl empowerment conference formed by GenZ Writes, in partnership with other youth-run organizations. GenZ Writes is a global, student-run online media platform amplifying marginalized youth voices from across the world. With a team of 40+ students in over 6 countries, GZW has extended their impact worldwide- sharing stories written by students, for students, and amassing thousands of website views.

Our conference will feature student panelists, as well as women executives, from across the globe.
the sessions
WOMEN IN BUSINESS

This session will feature young women that are high school students who run their own company or organization and have advice/ expertise they want to share in the field of entrepreneurship and business
-
This session is for students talking about how they started their organization and what steps they took to grow their organization.
WOMEN IN MEDICINE/ RESEARCH
-
This session will feature young women that are high school students who are actively engaging themselves in the field of medicine and research.

Examples of this include developing critical research for certain medical disorders, working to cure a certain disease, educating students on a career in medicine, etc.
WOMEN IN HUMANITIES
-
This session will feature young women that are high school students who are making strides in humanities and helping people across the world receive basic human needs.

This includes working towards ending homelessness, hunger, poverty, lack of water, etc.
Women in education
-
This session will feature young women that are high school students who are advocates in the field of education.

This can include making education accessible to all students, ensuring a quality education, helping low-income students receive a quality education, giving resources to economically disadvantaged students, etc.

This would also include educating/tutoring students about subjects (ex. making curriculum about financial literacy and distributing it to students)
WOMEN IN STEM

This session will feature young women that are high school students who are advocates in the field of STEM
-
This includes closing the gender gap in STEM, making stem accessible to students of different socioeconomic backgrounds, etc.

Ex. presenting an organization that conducts STEM workshops for girls
WOMEN IN POLITICS/ ACTIVISM
-
This session will feature young women that are high school students who are actively engaging themselves in the field of politics and law.

This can include being congressional interns, working with congressional officials, working on campaigns, interning at a law firm, etc. There are several possibilities that fit into this category.

This session will also feature young women that are high school students who have experience in the field of activism.

This can include protests, marches, advocating for reform about pressing issues such as gender equality and women’s rights, etc.
